MSN Search favors results with Microsoft Keywords.

Posted Wed, 02 Nov 2005

I recently posted a theory that MSN Search Results were tainted in favor of sites that mention Microsoft or Microsoft technologies, because a search for my name yielded only one article on my site, which happened to mention Microsoft (specifically, it was things about microsoft that pissed me off).

My suspicion was loosely confirmed today, however, when I searched again for my name on MSN and found only my post about how MSN Search Results are tainted to favor Microsoft related articles!

To give this a good fair shot, I made what I'm calling my MSN Search Trap. It's a post in a hidden area of my web site, and the only link to it will be the tiny one at the very bottom of my main content section (scroll down). I want to see how long it takes MSN Search to find it, and if it will index that post over my other content. Results to come!
